Led Letter Signs

Led Letter Signs make a big statement and increase visibility for your business. They come in a wide range of shapes, sizes and colors and can be customized to match your brand image.

The first step in comparing quotes is to make sure the companies are using the same specifications. If not, you cannot make apples to apples comparisons.

Aluminum

Aluminum led letter signs are a popular sign choice that is durable, economical and visually appealing. The lights used in these types of signs are low-voltage LED’s which make them more energy efficient than other light sources. These LED’s produce little heat and are safer to handle than traditional incandescent bulbs.

These are the most common type of commercial Led Letter Signs signage and can be front illuminated or reverse illuminated and carved out of either acrylic or polycarbonate. They are highly visible by day and radiant at night and will add depth to your building façade.

Also known as halo channel letters, these are typically constructed of aluminum faces and returns with neon or LEDs that shine from the back of the sign to create a glow around the letter shape. They are often taller than standard channel letters and offer great visibility from a distance. They can be hung both vertically and horizontally. Also available with a UL listed “plug-n-play” system that allows non-electricians to easily install your sign. This makes it one of the fastest and simplest installation options available.

Acrylic

Acrylic LED signs are a popular choice for businesses looking for an eye-catching sign that will make them stand out from the competition. They are available in a wide variety of colors and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. These types of signs are great for displaying your business name, contact information, and other important details that potential customers will need to know.

Acrylic signs can be made with a variety of faces, including opal acrylics, which allow light to pass through them and achieve a soft glow. They can be painted in a variety of colors, from classic white to warm yellow or red, and also feature a programmable RGB light option that allows the electrician to control the color from a remote keyboard.

These lights use less than half of the electricity of traditional neon signs, and can save you over $200 per year on your energy costs. They’re also much more durable than their predecessors.

Polycarbonate

While most plastics are not inherently UV stable, Curbell offers sign-grade OPTIX SG acrylic and TUFFAK SL polycarbonate that are formulated for long life outdoors. Both are capable of withstanding the rigors of sun damage, but the polycarbonate version is more durable and provides a better overall performance than high impact acrylic when it comes to resisting the effects of weather and temperatures on illuminated channel letter signs.

Unlike aluminum, which can be damaged by exposure to harsh chemicals and solvents like methyl ethyl ketone and hydrochloric acid, polycarbonate plastic is resistant to these substances. It can also be steam-sterilized and subjected to a limited number of radiation cycles without discoloration.

A common material used for the front faces of LED LED Letter Signs Manufacturer channel letters is polycarbonate, a thermoplastic that can be shaped and formed at room temperature. It is much more durable than acrylic and can be bent into complex shapes that would be impossible with sheet metal techniques. It is not recommended to use it with halogenated solvents, though, which can cause surface whitening and crystallization.

Raceway Method

The raceway method allows for less drilling in the building facade and helps to reduce maintenance costs. Letters are secured to a narrow box called a raceway that houses all of the electrical wiring and power supplies for lighting the letters. Often times, the raceway is painted the same color as the building to help camouflage it.

The advantage of this method is that it provides a clean architectural appearance for your business. The downside is that all wiring must be accessible for future changes. This can be a disadvantage if you are looking for a more “pop” look.

Another method is the backer mount. This is similar to the raceway method, except that the channels are mounted to a metal cabinet called a backer. The backer is a flat panel that can be designed to act as a frame and is visible for a more modern appearance. The benefit of this method is that it can be used in a more commercial setting that has higher turnover of tenants as the wiring and power supply can remain hidden behind the facade.

Individual Letter Installation

Lighted sign letters are a great way to attract customers to your business. They will allow people to see your signage when they are in the area, and it will also help to amplify the visibility of your business at night. This type of signage is a crucial investment for your business, as it can lead to an increase in customer traffic and sales.

LED first-surface lighting allows you to customize the daytime brightness of your sign by determining the density, colors, and patterns of the illumination. They can even be made to twinkle, attracting attention that would otherwise be lost without this type of signage.

Another option for your business is a changeable message board that lets you display custom messages from a remote keyboard, smartphone, or computer. These are less expensive than a LED electronic message center, but still provide enough visibility to capture the attention of your customers. These are available as both wall mounted and free standing signs. Most have lockable covers to help protect your message from theft and other mischief.
